A Minnesota power company says it has pulled the plug on a scheme that stole hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of electricity. The apparent mastermind behind it is Ryan Jaenicke, a Roseau, Minnesota, man, who allegedly stole electricity to operate a bitcoin farm in Roosevelt, Minnesota. The allegations are outlined in a 19 page civil suit filed in Roseau County Court.North Star Electric Cooperative, based out of Baudette, Minn., is going after Jaenicke and Tina Fehlhaber, two business owners who were once a couple but recently separated. For the past year Jaenicke has hosted a YouTube segment called, “Degenerate Passive Income,” a channel he says is dedicated to tapping into the power of passive income. The civil suit accuses Jaenicke of having plenty of passive income by illegally tapping into the power of electricity.“At the heart of it we see theft and greed,” said Joel Fremstad, the lawyer for North Star.In many of the videos, Jaenicke talks about crypto...Man shot dead by O’Fallon, Missouri police Sunday afternoon

Will Anderson Jr. was a menace. That’s the simplest way to describe his performance against the Broncos on Sunday.Houston’s rookie pass rusher made his presence felt early when he pushed off Denver right tackle Mike McGlinchey before sacking quarterback Russell Wilson for an 11-yard loss on the Broncos’ first drive of the game.At the start of the third quarter, Anderson freely charged into the backfield for another sack. And later, he tipped a Wilson pass that ended up in cornerback Derek Stingley Jr.’s hands for an interception. The Broncos’ offensive line was showered with praise after they contained edge rusher Myles Garrett and Cleveland’s elite pass rush in Week 12, allowing a sack and four hurries total. But in their 22-17 loss at NRG Stadium, the Texans’ pass rush, led by Anderson’s masterful performance, did whatever they wanted as they finished with five sacks and eight quarterback hits.“(The Texans) got a really good front and their (head coach DeMeco Ryans) allows the...Person hospitalized after shooting in downtown L.A.

The 49ers deployed their offensive weaponry in a big way Sunday in a no-doubt 42-19 win over the Philadelphia Eagles, punking the defending NFC champions in their own yard.Yet none in the cavalcade of stars — Brock Purdy, Christian McCaffrey, George Kittle, Brandon Aiyuk — shone as brightly as Deebo Samuel. The same Samuel who unabashedly told the world after Philly’s 31-7 win in last year’s title game that the 49ers lost because they played with 10 men after Purdy departed in the first quarter with a torn UCL in his throwing elbow. The guy who called Eagles cornerback James Bradberry ‘trash’ during Super Bowl week.Samuel didn’t do much trash-talking this week other than to unflinchingly say he regretted nothing. He was apparently saving his energy to make a point not only to the Eagles but to everyone else he is still one of the NFL’s most unique and explosive weapons.“I ain’t going to lie, I was in that zone all week as fa...Instant analysis of 49ers’ dominant 42-19 win over Eagles in return to Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA – Last time here, George Kittle lamented the 49ers’ NFC Championship Game loss with a statement that would essentially define their triumphant 42-19 return Sunday.“You didn’t really get to see all the 49er football that we wanted to put out there on tape,” Kittle said after January’s 31-7 loss. “But life kind of just punches you in the face sometimes.”Sunday, the 49ers scored touchdowns on six consecutive possessions to seize control, and, along the way, Dre Greenlaw punched – or at least poked – the face of the Eagles’ security chief in a sideline scrap that merely paused the 49ers’ momentum.Scoring three of those touchdowns was Deebo Samuel, the 49ers’ most vocal critic of the Eagles after last season’s loss, in which quarterback Brock Purdy sustained a torn elbow ligament that rendered the offense toothless.“We wanted some payback,” defensive end Nick Bosa said. “We tried not to think too much about last year but we knew we c...Pilot killed in Fauquier County plane crash, police say

CARACAS, Venezuela (AP) — Venezuelans on Sunday approved a referendum called by the government of President Nicolás Maduro to claim sovereignty over an oil- and mineral-rich piece of neighboring Guyana, the country’s electoral authority announced. Few voters could be seen at voting centers throughout the voting period, but the National Electoral Council claimed more than 10.5 million voters cast ballots.Venezuela has long argued the territory was stolen when the border was drawn more than a century ago. But Guyana considers the referendum a step toward annexation, and the vote has its residents on edge.Venezuelan voters were asked whether they support establishing a state in the disputed territory, known as Essequibo, granting citizenship to current and future area residents and rejecting the jurisdiction of the United Nations’ top court in settling the disagreement between the South American countries.Throughout Sunday, long lines typical of electoral events did not form outside vo...10-year-old from Maryland competes to be next MasterChef
